What can I make with the free tier?

You start with 3 free credits and no credit card required. That is enough for three small rollers (up to 25mm wide), or one medium plus one small, or one large roller (100mm+). Small rollers cost 1 credit, medium cost 2, and large cost 3.

Do I need 3D modelling skills?

Accepted Answer

No. If you can draw a line on paper or in any drawing app, you can make a roller. Upload your artwork, adjust the size and depth, then download the STL file. There is no CAD, no Blender, and no mesh editing anywhere in the workflow.

Does adjusting my design cost another credit?

Accepted Answer

No — you can adjust size, depth, and pattern repeats as much as you like before downloading. A credit is only spent when you generate a preview, and it is refunded if you change your settings, so tweaking never costs extra. When you download the finished file, the rest of the roller’s cost is charged: 1 credit total for small, 2 for medium, 3 for large. Re-downloading the same roller after a completed download costs the full credit cost again, so grab all the file copies you need in one go.

What file types can I upload?

PNG, JPG, and most other common image formats. Black-and-white line art gives the sharpest impressions. Your lines should be at least 1mm wide, which is roughly 2 to 3 pixels at 512px width.

What is the difference between the personal and commercial licences?

Accepted Answer

The free and credit pack tiers come with a personal licence: use your rollers on pottery you keep or gift, but not on pieces you sell. Studio Monthly includes a commercial print licence, so you can sell the physical pottery you texture with the rollers you generate. The STL file itself is never resold or redistributed under either licence.

Question 6

Which 3D printers work with the STL files?

Accepted Answer

Any FDM printer. Print with PLA or PETG at a 0.2mm layer height for the best surface detail. If you do not own a printer, you can order the finished roller printed and shipped to your studio straight from the site.

Can I cancel anytime?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Studio Monthly is a monthly subscription with no minimum term, and you can cancel whenever you like. Credit packs are one-off purchases and your credits stay valid for 12 months.
